Freshness Burger to release customer-approved tofu burgers for a limited time

Fan-favorite Japanese burger chain Freshness Burger celebrates its 30th anniversary this 2023 with a new burger that has been designed and approved by its thousands of customers: Atsuage Tofu Japanese Burger. As per usual, this homegrown chain will release it for a limited time from April 26 to May 30, so catch all there is to know about it here at NeedThat.

The Freshness Burger Atsuage Tofu Japanese Burger is an indulgent menu option for patrons to try this spring. It’s made with two thick pieces of deep-fried silken tofu that are topped with a choice of two sauces and garnished with lotus root and fresh perilla leaves for that satisfying flavor and texture. The two kinds of sauces are spicy Mentaiko Mayo and sweet and sour Kurozu-an. This will definitely be one of Freshness Burger’s best meal options as it’s perfect for burger lovers who are looking for something new on the horizon or striking a balanced yummy but healthy appetite.

The best part about the tofu burger is that it’s the chain’s unprecedented new product, both in terms of used ingredients and the way it was created. It was concocted from the preferences of fans – 113,453 of them to be exact – via Freshness Burger’s poll on Twitter with the hashtag “#I think Japanese burger”.

A job well done to genuis/es behind Freshness Burger’s 30th birthday campaign – utilizing the power of social media for a fun, creative community activity about burgers. Buns, vegetables, the main ingredient, sauce, and the patty were all given several options for volunteers to choose from. Eventually, results showed that the public were keener to add atsuage tofu to the menu.

Some of the lucky winners who got invited for a taste test remarked that it’s a “healthy choice”, it can be eaten without feeling guilt, it has a “great mouthfeel”, and that the overall impact is amazing. See all of these for yourself once Freshness Burger released Atsuage Tofu Japanese Burger From April 26 to May 30, 2023, priced at 650 yen each.
