This is the latest tech offering of JL Audio, and we’re excited here at NeedThat to share with you of what to expect about its newly launched MediaMaster® Remote App that’s available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
The American audio manufacturer designed the MediaMaster® Remote App compatible with the current JL Audio MediaMaster marine audio source units and network controllers, such as the MM105, MM105-HR, and MMR-40. It enables you to enjoy untethered quality audio listening using integrated comprehensive controls via your compatible wireless device – be it either an iOS or Android model. This premium control can reach up to 35 ft (11m) away, thanks to the advanced Bluetooth® Low Energy technology.
“These apps represent an exciting control upgrade for the vast number of vessels that feature the latest MediaMaster audio source units as standard or optional equipment,” Sr. Vice President, Electronic Engineering JL Audio Stephen Leigh said. “The wireless control functionality and display of music data offered by the apps is comprehensive, far exceeding the features found on typical wired controllers and key fob-style remote controls,” he added.
The main control functions of the MediaMaster® Remote App include the following:
- Power ON/OFF
- Source navigation and selection
- Stored presets
- All volume level controls (master & individual zones)
- All subwoofer level controls (master & individual zones)
- All tone & balance controls (master & individual zones)
- Source-specific settings
Once downloaded to your device, you will also notice that navigating and commanding these control functions are familiar. The MediaMaster® Remote App features a clean, easy-to-use interface that mirrors the UI layout and menu structure of its MM105 source unit, MMR-40 network controller, and the JL Audio control apps for popular multi-function display (MFD) systems.
Get your MediaMaster® Remote App for free on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. And while its functionality doesn’t require additional hardware, you will need to install the latest source unit software which is version 1.0.1325.
