Campbell’s Gluten-Free Soups Arrived in Stores This Summer

Campbell Soup Company diversifies its iconic condensed cooking soup line with the release of its two gluten-free offerings this summer – Cream of Mushroom and Cream of Chicken. 

This season has just become healthier and lighter as the company helps to address the dietary needs and concerns of some of its market demographic. This is according to a Campbell’s® Custom Survey of June 2023, where 600 participants aged 18-64 resulted in nearly one out of five Americans avoiding gluten. 

“Answering the question of ‘what’s for dinner?’ can be challenging for those trying to avoid gluten,” Gary Mazur, Vice President of Marketing, Soup & Broth, Campbell Soup Company, said in a company statement. “Through these new offerings, we’re excited to have our iconic soups help address dietary needs and create even more mealtime moments,” he added. 

The consumption of gluten free foods has significantly increased for the past three decades, and we will certainly see its upward trajectory in the years ahead. Grand View Research reported that the demand for gluten-free products is mostly due to the high prevalence of celiac disease and unhealthy lifestyles, which, in turn, drive its global market size at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.8% from 2022 to 2030.
