Boba Flavors Meets Oatmeal with Yishi Foods

The Asian-inspired oatmeal brand while new, is still going strong. We had the pleasure of meeting the founder Lin Jiang at last year’s Expo West. Since then, they’ve expanded their team, reach, and sales. They’ve now sold over a quarter million servings, that’s 250,000+ Oatmeal packs and if you’re not convinced yet, these boba-themed flavors are to die for.

Yishi has produced limited edition flavors and has kept some of its popular flavors. A few months ago, they had a huge production run, 100,000 + oatmeal cups that accidentally turned their matcha oats from oatmeal down to a powder form. While still edible, still delicious, it wasn’t going to be up to standards for the retail shelves. They’ve donated over 60% and the team decided to spin it up into a media challenge where customers can get these matcha powder for free to do a baking competition. The winner would win a year’s supply of Yishi! Not a bad idea for a marketing campaign.

Yishi has continued to grow through various flavor offerings, with limited edition pushes like their pumpkin spice. While some flavors sound delicious like the Osmanthus or Red Bean Oatmeal cups, they didn’t make it onto the retail shelves. Black Sesame, Taro, and Matcha are just all too delicious. These are super convenient to prepare. Just add water to the directed line, and microwave and you’re good to go. You can also prepare them as overnight oats for the fridge with your favorite milk.
With 5g of protein, 4g of fiber, and 0g of added sugar, you can satisfy your cravings with the taste of Boba without the carbo load that comes with boba. Eat this for breakfast so you’re guilt-free for the real boba drink later in the day ;).

They are now located in over 500+ retail stores, nationwide in all Whole Foods.
